Horizon International Schools’ students have been participating in international Olympiads and competitions in Azerbaijan, the USA,
Argentina, South Africa, South Korea, Iran, Brazil, Turkey, Germany, Georgia, Kenya, Nigeria, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan,
Romania, Netherlands,Turkmenistan, Indonesia and Japan since 2006.
Students have been challenged intellectually in different subject areas such as languages, mathematics, natural sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, robotics, environmental sciences, arts, ICT, design, sports and social sciences. Travelling to compete for Myanmar has always been a great learning opportunity for our students especially considering the fact that they competed against, at times, students from more than 140 countries.
More importantly, students had excellent space to exhibit cultural elements, performances, food, dress and others to students and supervisors from different parts of the world. It is through these activities that they gained international mindedness, respect, understanding and tolerance towards other ideas, thoughts and cultures. They became part of international community through cultural fairs held in each competition.
Horizon International Schools’ students brought back to Myanmar more than 120 medals.
