A Great Achievement
Genius Olympiad 2017 in SUNY Oswego State University of New York, USA
Genius Olympiad is an international high school competition and hosts projects in five general disciplines with an environmental focus. It is founded and organized by Terra Science and Education and hosted by the State University of New York at Oswego.
It was started in 2011 with around 200 participants from a few countries. On the 7th competition of Genius Olympiad, 1200 participants from 73 different countries had an opportunity to display their projects in this great event. Genius Olympiad has 5 categories; Science, VPA (Visual and performance Arts), Business, Writing and Robotics. Our students participated in Science, VPA, Writing and Robotics categories.
The event lasted from June 13, 2017 to June 16, 2017. We were welcomed by the members of the organizing committee and then transferred to Student Residence of Oswego State University of New York. Before opening ceremony, all participants were encouraged to have a campus tour. Then they set up their projects for the competition. Opening Ceremony was held in the evening on the same day.On June 14, 2017, all the projects of different categories were evaluated by judges. The next day all the participants visited Niagara Falls, New York, which is one of the wonders of the world. Awarding Ceremony was held on June 16, 2017. That was the time when our participants and supervisors had breathtaking moment.
