Year-End Ceremonies were held by all Horizon International Schools campuses in three different cities of Myanmar, each of which presented their special colorful and unforgettable performances. All visitors had a chance to witness spectacular dances, drama and music performances. The students who had shown an outstanding academic performance and development in life skills were presented with special awards and certificates. The ceremonies were also honored with the presence of several dignitaries.
Our Kindergarten Campus in Mandalay held its ceremony on March 11, 2015 in Mandalay where the audience witnessed spectacular performances by the young students. The opening speech was given by the Attorney General of Mandalay Region H.E. U Ye Aung Myint, who asserted the importance of education in overall development and praised the schools for their contribution in this area.
Our Mandalay Main Campus held its ceremony on March 12, 2015 where the opening speech was given by H.E. Dr. Win Hlaing, the Minister of Social Affairs of Mandalay Region. In his speech, the minister touched upon the importance the current government is giving to the development of education in Myanmar and the need for more work to build a strong foundation. He also congratulated our schools on their achievements.
Our newly opened Kindergarten Campus in Nay Pyi Taw witnessed a great enthusiasm and lively participation at its Year-End Ceremony. It was held on March 10, 2015 at the schools compound. Despite the fact that the campus has been operating for only a year, it has done a great job teaching its students, who demonstrated their skills in the ceremony.
All three Kindergarten Campuses in Yangon held their joint Year-End Ceremony in the Conference Hall of our Shu Khinn Thar Campus on March 6, 2015. Our young students put up their colorful and magnificent performances and graduating KG Level students were given graduation certificates. Everybody wished them all the best in their further studies.
Our two Main Campuses in Yangon held their Year-End Ceremonies on March 13, 2015 at the National Theatre. The Chairman of Yangon Region Parliament H.E. U Sein Tin and Members of Union Parliament were among the dignitaries that honored our program with their attendance. The parents, teachers, staff and other guests witnessed a spectacular program that started with the National Anthem of Myanmar, after which followed a series of splendid performances by our students which will remain in our memories for along time. Successful students received their certificates and our graduating IB students received their diplomas.
The Year-End Ceremonies served a unique purpose. They gave the students a good chance to celebrate their year-long hard work and their teachers were there to share their joy and happiness of successfully concluding yet another academic year.
